First off, explanation of the site. Initially I am happy to create a website about something I love as a catalyst in learning about the art of building web pages, java script, etc. It has also given me a chance to work with and learn Photoshop. These are both big steps for someone like myself who has an admitted mental block against anything which requires artistic abilities.

However, ultimately I hope for Vdubjunkie.net to become an integral Vdub web source for information, links, what have you. Who knows. Only my visitors will be able to make that happen, but in time I will give you reason to help it grow. I intend to provide a site that has something for every classic (and some NB) Vdubjunkie out there.

I can only make this dream a possibility with your help. I will take (and maybe even take into serious consideration) any constructive criticism you may have. I also hope you guys will help me out with pictures of your rides for my visitor's page and even tech tips or anything you think my page can use. Of course, if you explicity request of me to give credit, I will include a name and email address if you like. You must request for me to use your information due to privacy laws and what not.

Now, on to my rantings. If you have looked around the web, as I have, for pics of Vdubs you may have noticed some of the websites aren't willing to grow the Vdub web pics community. My feeling is that any pic I collect you are more than welcome to use for whatever the heck you like. I believe that Vdubs are a bit like the Linux of the auto world. If any automobile out there stands for free, it is the classic Vdub. Of course, whenever I am aware of any copyright or someone's expressed request that I not use their pic for a website, I honor that. However, all of the pics on this site are considered community property in my eyes. With that said, if you believe that I have in some way infringed on somebody's copyright laws, simply email me with proof and I will work to correct the infringement as soon as possible. Please don't use the above link for general, or other inquiries as it has the subject header "Copyright Concern" automatically pasted.
